Lafarge Cement Wapco Nigeria – Electrical/ Instrumentation technician June 2010

Position: Electrical/ Instrumentation Technician Job Reference: ET004 Department: Lakatabu Project Job Details: Objective The jobholder will ensure electrical/ Instrumentation maintenance of the equipment at optimum cost. Part of the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of H&S programmes in line with Local regulations and Company’s policy.
• Update and develop Standard Operating procedure and Safe working procedure.
• Record possible anomalies observed on the equipment during maintenance or inspection.
• Supervise the testing of equipment after maintenance as well as the cleaning of the area
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of replaced spares.
• Contribute to spares stock optimization
• Participate in the ADAP implementation software
• Manage and improve instrumentation maintenance procedures and methods
• Assure instrumentation maintenance and proper calibration
• Participate with other departments in the implementation of new control loops
• Define and schedule Electrical/ Instrumentation preventive maintenance programmes in collaboration with the maintenance, production, process, departments.
• Participate in the specifications for the purchase of spare parts
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of replaced spares
• Contribute to spares stock optimization

Candidates’ Profile

• Technical College Diploma, City & Guild or OND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 5 years hands-on experience in Electrical/Instrumentation Maintenance
• Technical knowledge of Electrical/Instrumentation Maintenance.
• Knowledge of cement manufacturing process is desirable.
• Energetic with good aptitude for field work
• Energetic and flare to work unexpected long hours.
• Coordinate about three activities simultaneously.
• Good estimation of activity duration and execution
• Application of safety regulations to all maintenance
