Job Title: Transmission Edge Operations Support Engineer
Department: Network Group

Job Description:
•Provide remote online support to field engineers in resolving faults on the transmission network. www.naijajobslink.com
•Troubleshoot and remotely resolve multiplexer (DXX and OSN) related faults on the transmission network where applicable.
•Implement critical preventive or corrective maintenance on multiplexer systems (DXX and OSN) on the transmission network.
•Implement firmware/software upgrades on DXX multiplexer equipment.
•Carry out routine maintenance on all NMS systems for TX Edge services.
•Implementation of various types of transmission cutovers.
•Relate with support staff from various equipment vendors for resolution major equipment or NMS problems
•Spare handling.
•Build and maintain a good relationship between all network related sections, customers and product suppliers.
Job Conditions:
Normal MTNN working conditions, but may be required to work long hours. Minimal local travel
Reporting To: Transmission Edge Operations Support Team Lead
Required Skills:
•At least 4 years work experience
•Minimum of two years work experience in Telecommunication industry, with specific experience using multiplexers microwave, satellite and fibre optic transmission equipment
Employment Status : Permanent
Qualification: A first degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
